Prepress Artwork Preparation Guidelines
- Resolution: 300 DPI at 100% physical print dimensions.
- Color Profile: CMYK mode recommended. RGB files are converted with minimal shift.
- Bleed Margin: Keep main character lineart 2mm inside the outer cut border.
- White Underbase: If you desire transparent stained-glass effects, specify in notes.
Custom Japanese Washi Tape
The usual roll is 15 mm by 10 m, with 20 mm and 30 mm available. The paper is semi-clear washi, not plastic crepe, so it takes a pen and does not tear printer paper when lifted. We join the repeat and mark the seam on the proof. Minimum is 5 rolls. Foil wants a longer setup, so 20 rolls is the practical start. Lead time is about 7 business days. Draw the repeat unit and do not park a face on the seam. The adhesive is light, for journals and gift wrap, not for sealing a heavy carton.
